| From personal experience: I did concert/venue security in the early 1990's. Whit was performing at the venue that night and JOAN BAEZ was performing the following pm and arrived early (could be vice verse, it was 20 years ago...). In any case, the two stayed on-site in their buses because the location is not near any fine hotels. Event staff saw them hanging out together. Long story short--I encountered them in an area of the venue where I never would have expected to (ever!), late at night. They were in a state of partial undress and appeared to be smoking some type of pipe. When I walked-in on them they were shocked/angry for a brief moment. Then Whitney said something like, "Get the hell outta here boy. Can't you see we're busy?" Then they busted-out laughing! I didn't know what to say. I backed out, about ready to burst out laughing myself, half ready for them to pummel me and sent someone else to "check a tripped alarm sensor" in the area 15 minutes later... God, that story never gets old!! | ||
